Godlike Player in a Game-Like World

Chapter 54 The Fight Has Begun

\'Where, where, where? \' Helen screamed in her heart while searching for Raydon with her honey-colored eyes.

\'\'Huh? What is that? \'\'

Then, all of a sudden, she became aware of a glimmer in the distance. It resembled a glow that a mirror was reflecting.

The region boss was rapidly approaching behind her, and her skill duration was about to end. She, therefore, made the decision to stake everything on this. If this glow belonged to the opposing team, Helen might be able to use them to divert the monster so she can have a chance to escape.

She dashed with all her might toward this glow, which represented her only hope, and her long-range vision skill allowed her to recognize its owner. She didn\'t immediately recognize him because of the items he was wearing, but she soon realized he was Raydon and the pauldron on his shoulder was what was causing the glow.

\'Finally, found you. \'

She had just found the hope she had been looking for and was enjoying it for a brief moment when she heard something ripping through the air and moving toward her.

This sound reminded her of the flying axe that killed her teammate not long ago.

\'\'Turtle shell. \'\' She shouted and immediately used her skill.

On Helen\'s back, a dark green substance started to materialize quickly before taking the shape of a tortoise shell.

*BOOOOMMM*

She was thrown forward by the impact as the axe slammed into the shell with a loud bang. The energy emitted by the impact was so powerful that it swept away the snow in the area.

Helen was thrown forward a few meters, rolling on the ground several times before coming to a halt. Despite Helen\'s turtle shell on her back appearing to be completely broken, she miraculously looked fine.

With the special skill her title provided, it was obvious that she had significantly increased her stamina.

\'\'That hurt. \'\' She slowly stood up and looked around, holding her head in pain and feeling dizzy. The snow cloud from the impact made it difficult for her to see much, but she could hear the Region Boss\'s approaching footsteps clearly.

Even though she didn\'t know where Raydon was, she knew which direction she needed to run. She quickly recovered and resumed her escape from the Region Boss.

When Helen finally came out of the snow cloud, she yelled with joy at what she saw.

\'\'Hey!!! I finally found you. \'\'

It was Raydon who was standing a good distance away and glancing at her with intense eyes. Due to the emotions, Helen was going through at the time, she was unaware of the irritated expression in the eyes staring at her.

The Region Boss was pursuing Helen as she ran, and she could hear its footsteps getting closer and closer. She wasn\'t as concerned this time, though, because the man who had been racking up points like crazy ever since the match began had pulled his Crossbow out of his dimensional storage and was prepared to use it to save her.

Helen\'s face lit up with a contented grin. She did so because she was confident that no matter who he was, as long as they were men, they would never be able to resist her alluring charm, especially after seeing how helpless she was.

She was therefore making use of every man\'s innate desire to save a beautiful and alluring woman like herself, then yelled as she used her final and most powerful trump card for the finishing blow.

\'\'Please save me… \'\'

She was sure now. Even if it meant sacrificing his own life, the man in front of her will save her.

After giving Helen, who was running in his direction, a quick glance, Raydon turned to face Region Boss, who had emerged from the snow cloud with a loud roar.

\'\'Good job cow woman, you saved me the trouble of looking for the region boss. \'\'

He then raised his crossbow once more, took aim, and released the arrow. The arrow flew through the air with perfect power and angle, piercing Helen\'s honey-colored eye, which was filled with relief that she would soon recover from the misfortune that had befallen her.

\'\'W-why?! \'\'At this, Helen muttered as she stood in shock. One arrow clearly wasn\'t enough to kill her due to her high stamina. That didn\'t last long, though, as the same eye was struck by a second arrow, this one making sure she was dead.

Helen fell to the ground with two arrows in her eye and a look of disbelief on her face.

\'It seems that I am unable to gain experience after killing my teammate.\' Raydon pondered as he watched Helen\'s body slowly transform into light beams and disappear.

He put his crossbow in his dimensional storage and turned to face the region boss, who was visibly confused because its intended target Helen had vanished without a trace.

\'\'In what way should I kill you? \'\' Raydon stated with a twisted grin. He was already incredibly excited about the situation he was in and what was going to happen next. He had already begun to calculate the experience points he would gain.

Raydon was soon spotted by Region Boss, who was looking around in confusion. Without thinking, it roared again in rage at having missed its previous target and lunged with its axe toward Raydon.

\'\'OK, we\'ll do it this way. \'\' The Region Boss was sprinting in his direction when Raydon began to run in its direction as well.

Region Boss was initially a little surprised to see the dwarf Raydon begin to run in its direction, but it quickly grew irate and began running faster.

\'\'Come, come hahahaha, this is funny. \'\' As though provoking the monster, Raydon laughed. The fact that the monster appeared to be getting angrier with each passing second suggests that it must have been successful.

\'\'ROOOOAARRGHH\'\'

Spit was now coming out of the monster\'s mouth as it roared furiously. Even the nearby snow hills began to tremble and crumble at the sound of it.

\'\'Good, you\'ve reached the point. \'\' As he continued to run, Raydon said, pulling the crossbow from his dimensional storage.

Yes... again.
