Chapter 58 Unexpected Visitor
Actually, most of what Raydon experienced here was genuine, but he was the one who chose to communicate those feelings to others. He just pretended to be one of them in order to gain their acceptance by displaying his frail side to them.
Dan was mistaken about Raydon in most of what he just said, but only Raydon\'s desire to use them was accurate.
The sound of a knock on the warehouse door reverberated inside as everyone had fallen into Raydon\'s grasp with Dan\'s assistance and was talking about him fervently.
\'\'Huh, who is that? \'\' One of the aunts wiped her tears away and enquired anxiously. After all, this location served as a gang headquarters as well as a shelter for them. Who was it, since all of the members are now present?
\'\'This doorknocking sounds like it belongs to my sister. She arrived early today, looks like she is off work.\'\' Rayn said it right away, reviving the hearts of those around him.
\'\'Oh, right, let\'s open the door. Don\'t make sister wait,\'\' Fatty urged.
"Wait. \'\' Dan shouted to the person who was about to open the door.
"I must state this before opening it. Raydon is someone we can\'t discuss with anyone. Perhaps nobody but us is aware that he is here. If it is discovered that he is assisting us, the plans he was working on may be ruined.\'\' Dan took his words seriously. The people around him nodded in agreement, without questioning.
Dan continued as he turned to face Rayn, who was seated in his wheelchair. "I understand that you don\'t want to keep anything from your sister, but it\'s also for her own good. The less she knows about it, the better. \'\'
Hearing this, Rayn averted his eyes and stared at the ground for a moment, as if thinking. After a few seconds, he returned his gaze to Dan with determination, nodded in agreement, and said. \'\'I get it, Boss. Don\'t worry, I won\'t say anything. \'\'
\'\'Good. Don\'t make our sister wait outside; let\'s let her in. \'\' They finally opened the door with Dan\'s permission.
\'\'Hey, why did it take so long for you to open it? What were you doing? \'\'
A stunning young woman with purple hair and purple eyes entered, resembling the disabled Rayn. She was dressed in a classic maid costume made of black and white.
Surprisingly, this person was Belicia, the one who had been taking care of Raydon all this time.
\'\'Sister, welcome. \'\' Rayn rushed over to Belicia in his wheelchair and said with a smile.
Belicia chuckled and knelt down to hug her brother right away. \'\'Rayn, I haven\'t seen you in two days, but it looks like you\'ve put on weight. Are you overeating yet again? \'\'
Rayn\'s face dropped and he snapped when he heard this. \'\'No, I don\'t eat... Maybe a little... Okay, my aunts make excellent food and always make me eat more, so It\'s not my fault. \'\' Rayn tried to misrepresent the truth at first, but in front of her sister\'s judging eyes, he confessed and blamed everything on the aunts.
The aunts simply laughed and approached Belicia to greet her.
\'\'Belicia, he\'s still a growing young man, he needs a lot of food. \'\'
\'\'Right, don\'t worry, we\'re taking good care of him. \'\'
Belicia smiled in response. \'\'Don\'t worry, I\'m not concerned about his health. After all, I was raised under your care as well. \'\'
As she talks to everyone, Belicia\'s eyes appear to glow. She regarded everyone in the same manner as she regarded Rayn, her brother.
\'\'I\'m so relieved you don\'t have to live in this desolate location, but don\'t they make you work so hard, my child? You always have your maid uniform on whenever I see you. \'\' One of the aunts lamented.
\'\'Don\'t worry, aunty, my job isn\'t that difficult. I\'m just a maid, and I\'m doing what you always do here, so it\'s not much different. \'\' Belicia smiled, calming the worried expression on her face.
\'\'Sister Belicia, don\'t worry, they\'re worried about everyone and for everything, so it\'s nothing unique to you. You should ignore them.\'\' Having a sideways glance at the aunts, Sami said.
\'\'Hahaha, Fatty, I think you\'re upset because they forced you to go on a diet again.\'\' Belicia said with a laugh.
\'\'Hmph, I\'m never going to diet.\'\' Sami shook his head, rolling his eyes and folding his hands on his chest.
While everyone was laughing, Belicia noticed something and inquired. \'\'By the way, why do you all look tired? Your face appears to have lost its color as well. And why are some of you wet? \'\'
When they heard the question, everyone fell silent. They immediately remembered what Dan had just warned them about.
Belicia was one of them, but unlike the others, she had gotten a job as a maid for wealthy people. All they wanted was for her to save up enough money to take her brother out of here and live a better life. They didn\'t want her to be part of their own problem because of this.
Of course, they were unaware at the time that Belicia was a Battle Maid and not just a regular maid.
\'\'Oh, we were just cleaning. I think we got a little carried away, haha. \'\' Rayn told a lie outright, and everyone nodded in agreement.
\'\'Is that so? \'\' Belicia asked, looking everyone in the eyes before turning to face Rayn again.
\'\'Yes, yes, there is an epidemic here these days, and everyone is getting sick, so we are doing a thorough cleaning to ensure that the virus does not come here.\'\' Rayn was lying in an unexpected performance, and Belicia appeared to be convinced yet again, with everyone around her confirming it.
